This section provide a step-by-step tutorial on how to use ezParse and develop rules for XML based documents. The samples used in this tutorial can be found in the \samples directory on the Alchemy CATALYST product CD.

 

 

An ezParse rule can be applied to an XML document when it is inserted into Alchemy CATALYST. For example, due to the verbose nature of XML documents, you may decide to hide a number of elements or attributes. Or  there might be a code segment in the XML document that you want extracted and translated. You accomplish all these tasks by developing an ezParse rule for your documents.
