Alchemy Language Exchange to be part of 30m next generation localization initiative

Alchemy Software Development to contribute technology and development expertise

DUBLIN – November 30, 2007 – Alchemy Software Development announced today that Alchemy Language Exchange will be used as a development platform in the €30million CSET advanced research programme. This is a consortium of European universities and leading industry partners that will carry out fundamental and applied research in the field of high-tech automatic language translation. This initiative is funded under the Centre for Science, Engineering and Technology (CSET) Campus-Industry Programme.

This initiative, which will be run over five years, has appointed Prof. Andy Way of Dublin City University as it's CEO and includes Reinhard Schler, University of Limerick among its senior academic members. Global organization such as IBM, Microsoft, and VistaTec are also involved in the project. Alchemy Software Development will contribute both technology and development expertise to accelerate the development of the next generation localization platform to tackle the challenges of high volume content, personalization and localization.
